"I have been a loyal customer of State Farm for over 10 years, and I must express my disappointment in the recent handling of my insurance transfer by the staff at this agency. Upon relocating from Tennessee to Oklahoma, I promptly requested that my auto and renters insurance policies be transferred to this office with an effective date of August 1st. I made multiple calls last month to ensure the transfer was in progress, even facilitating communication between this office and my previous one. Based on our discussions, I believed the transfer was proceeding as planned. However, during a visit to the DMV, I discovered that only my renters insurance had been successfully transferred, while my auto insurance had not been processed. As an African American woman in Oklahoma, this oversight has left me feeling profoundly uneasy, especially given recent incidents of racial profiling involving my partner and the Muscogee Police Department. This is a concern that may not weigh heavily on Michael and his team, but one that I cannot afford to overlook. Despite numerous emails and phone calls, the issue persisted, and I assumed it had been resolved until this morning when my bank notified me of multiple charges for auto insurance policies. The ongoing miscommunication, incompetence, and casual approach exhibited by this office have taken a toll on me physically and emotionally. It is disheartening to witness a lack of regard for the serious implications of their negligence. As a result I will need to seek coverage elsewhere. I hope that steps will be taken to address these types of issues promptly and comprehensively to avoid similar situations in the future. Response to now deleted reply: I requested everything to be effective as of August 1st. Effective of August 1st indicates that services are to start August 1st. If your office is not equipped to handle such a task, then that should have been communicated, but it was not. There was no misunderstanding on my end as I am aware what effective of August 1st means, however it seems your office is not aware of the meaning. The problem was not just about being charged twice for insurance, however the issue is in reference to the numerous conversations and email exchanges with your office resulting in complete negligence and disregard. Instead of apologizing and fixing it you choose to continue the back and forth exchange with me on Google which again shows the level of competency and complete lack of accountability on your end which is truly unfortunate. Have a great day and best of luck to your agency in the future. I am open and available if you, Michael, would like to have a conversation with me. You have my number and all of my information, but I will not continue to go back and forth with you on Google in your effort to save face for your complete disregard to the issues at hand. In addition I must say I am deeply disheartened by the response posted by Michael on Google in relation to my concerns. I urge individuals considering this agency's services to carefully review the responses on Google, particularly noting the varying tones in which different individuals are addressed. The professionalism displayed in handling complaints and addressing discrepancies is a key indicator of a business's practices and integrity. Therefore, I advise proceeding with caution when engaging with this agency. Response to adjusted reply: Thank you for adjusting your most recent correspondence and removing your nasty reply. I want to clarify that I too have documentation of our previous communications as well and have every right to stand up for myself just as you have that right to stand up for your team. I have maintained a direct approach that was no more or less condescending than the other reviews on this page. While feedback, both positive and negative, is a valuable tool for improvement, it is essential to handle responses in a respectful manner. I believe we can both benefit from open communication and understanding."

"I would definitely recommend Michael Nelson and his staff to anyone. They are helpful and friendly and treat you like family. Monica is amazing and has been working hard to get my hospital claim paid. Monica always answers my emails the same day. She has made me feel like she care about me and my family. I couldn’t ask for a better team to handle my insurance!!! If you want an insurance agent and team that treats you like family I would highly recommend Michael Nelson and staff. They have made my recovery after surgery less stressful. They efficient and I got my Hospital Indemnity plan paid quickly. "Nice enough people but they currently do not understand their system nor the math well enough to comprehend and fix billing issues. I spent hours and hours working through the math and submitted backup documents from the State Farm website. The agent agreed what I found made sense but only to backtrack immediately after I made a payment because he promised it would get fixed the next month. I just don't feel like the effort or comprehension is there if you have a big issue. I am switching to Progressive once this month is over and that sucks because I have been a loyal State Farm customer for years."
